For a different change of pace from going out for a meal, try making a meal at home. You can choose exactly what you want and it will cost a fraction of what the same meal would cost at a restaurant.
You can make the entire process an event. Instead of just inviting your partner over to eat the meal, decide to make the entire meal together. Invite your partner over to go shopping for all the ingredients at the local grocery store.
Once at home, work together to create the meal. By making the entire process of the meal part of the date, you’ll have a great opportunity to learn more about your partners likes and dislikes than you would in most other situations.
After dinner you can make ice-cream together to top off the evening. Then you can sit down to a board game or watch a video to cap off the fun.
